I have never written a blog before and really don't know what to write. I had the same issue when I started our YouTube channel at the beginning of 2022. Who would actually care about me, a random person, starting a farm with my husband and rescuing horses. What would people think about me? Would they like me? Can I really share my life with strangers? Would they be bored? I had so many questions going through my head. I'm not a shy person but when it comes to talking in front of people or on a camera...I become shy and nervous!
My passion has always been photography and being behind the camera...not in front of it! Photography is unlimited. There is always an interesting moment waiting to be captured. Viewing the world through my camera is always exciting and I try to photograph the world as I see it. Ansel Adams once said there are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer. Everyone will have an opinion but I needed to overcome my fears and get past "what people think about me".
I decided take the plunge and started our YouTube channel when we closed on the property! What is life if you don't take risks or put yourself out there? We took a giant risk on purchasing this farm, how could I not share this experience? Much to my surprise, there are a lot of people who care! Our channel has grown and we have so many magnificent followers who love to hear about all our animals, everything happening on the farm along with all the crazy things we do. I have taken on the challenge of learning video too (it's so much different from photography). Our YouTube channel is evolving along with our website and farm. Building our website has been a learning experience too, but I will save that for another blog!
I have no idea what this blog will become but you have to start somewhere!
